Best and Worst Dressed: Grammys 2011

ok so last night while watching the Grammys red carpet premiere, 

i was in shock over how many people picked amazing outfits!

AND how many people might have possible been under the influence of substances while picking out their attire.

altogether though I was very impressed :)

lets start with the best dressed

my FAVORITE of the night was a close tie between Heidi Klum and Julianne Hough

but i decided Heidi wins the top spot due to the facts that

1. how many women can pull off gold from head-to-toe? she even had on gold nail polish and pumps!

2. she has had 4 kids. 4 KIDS!!! and her body is still bangin.

3. she told ryan seacrest that on valentines day her husband sings to her naked

she has the life :)

others who i have to mention for their amazing red carpet choices are 

 Jennifer Hudson 

she looks so tiny! and rocks the navy.

Selena Gomez

she looks so grown up

i thought she was a woman for a second and then i remembered

she is still a teenager who dates Justin Bieber

Eva...

i love eva

Keri Hilson

looks amazing in this blue!

Jennifer Lopez

what other woman do you know who has had twins and still has rockin legs that go great with the shortest dress ever!

Marc is a lucky guy :)

Lastly this precious Lousiana Cajun singer stole my heart

you may think he deserves worst dressed list but, 

YOU ARE WRONG!

he is the most adorable man ever

and honestly this is the perfect outfit for a southern musician

i just love him!

Now for those who didnt quite make the cut...

Katy,

I thought it was a very sweet thing to bring your grandmother to the grammys...

but just because you acted like an angel doesnt mean you should dress like one.

i think hosting the VS fashion show has really gone to your head.

i still love you though.

And Hayley,

we all know you are a princess.

I actually wish i could be you on certain days.

I just want to fit you in my pocket and take you everywhere i go...

but this dress is hideous.

and you know you have rocked MUCH BETTER hair styles.

dont get me wrong i love the red locks, but not in this way.

p.s. it looks like you are wearing a fruit loop around your thighs.

Oh Nicki, 

you are an amazing artist

but stop acting like lady gaga.

it works for gaga...at times...

but not for you.

your better than any head-to-toe leopard get up.

Nadia Ali decided to dress up as Black swan.

 And Ricky Martin wanted to remind us that he did come out of the closet.
whether he had or not, those pants would have given his little secret away :)

Lastly, Lady Gaga

an incubator?

seriously?

i will admit publicity-wise it is a genius idea.

fashion-wise though i hate it.

it looks like you are coming out of Jurassic Park and you

hired the white witch from the lion the witch and the wardrobe to introduce you.

its not cute.

sorry.

but on the upside your new song is great :)

valentines surprise

So this weekend i got the best surprise i think i have ever gotten.

it started after our rehearsal for sing song on friday night.

which btw our sing song act as popcorn is amazing

just saying.

ANYWAYS,

i got home from practice at around 12:45 and walked into my house with my roommate lauren.

sitting on our counter was this

i immediately turned around to my roommate and asked her if Geren had asked her to set this up

she was acting a little fishy but denied any involvement.

i then yelled for my other roommate, but she was asleep so it did no good.

i then walked into my room,

saw a tall dark figure,

SCREAMED LIKE A LITTLE GIRL

and ran for the front door.

(im glad i know i will never be brave and attack someone if they are hiding in my room since my first reaction is always just to run and scream)

anyways Geren comes out of my room and has the biggest smile on his face

It kinda looked like this 

I was so shocked he came to abilene

because his parents drove to san marcos to visit him and his brother the same weekend

(which thank you thank you thank you Mr. and Mrs. Sims for letting him leave for a bit!!)

the past week was pretty stressful and the minute i saw his face all my worries went away.

unfortunately he had to leave the next day after lunch but 

the fact he drove 3 hours here and 3 back just to pretty much have lunch with me was amazing.

we spent all morning just hanging out and talking.

something about Geren is so refreshing to me.

i have never felt so comfortable around one person.

we have turned into that couple that talks about everything

and i mean EVERYTHING

haha.

its pretty ridiculous sometimes but i love it...

and i love him

he earned major brownie points for this years vday.

now lets just cross our fingers that he enjoys the package i sent him 

its kinda corny but being corny helps me show him how much he means to me.

so if your reading this geren,

SNOW DAY

monday night a storm came in to good ole' abilene and trapped us all inside our

nice cozy houses

the next morning school was canceled and i had the best morning 

with my roommates and neighbors

my sweet roommate stacy made muffins and hot chocolate for us to wake up to

then all of us bored girls went outside and did what any sensible person would...

BUILD A SNOWMAN!!!

the rest of the day we went and played in the snow and had a wonderful time

 Then later that night me and meg went to try a trip down the street to look for food
we ended up getting stuck and having to be towed
lame...but we got a large pizza by the end of it :)

hopefully we have another snow day tomorrow cause its supposed to snow again on friday :)

i have some pretty high expectations for this trip.

i am told it will be one of the best weeks of my college career

so someone's birthday is today.....

anyways, today he turns the big 22!!

i am so grateful to have a guy like geren in my life.

i can honestly say i have never been happier and i love him to pieces.

he is amazing and is such an encouragement to me everyday.

every girl needs to know how it feels to be treated so well by someone everyday.

geren does this and i thank the Lord for him daily.

so happy birthday gman!
